अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाज़ार में प्रभुत्व की ओर ले जाए; ऐसे विशेष मार्ट बनाना और उनका हिस्सा बनना जो प्रमुख बाजारों आदि में अधिक बाजार दृश्यता प्रदान करते हैं। शक्तियों को प्रदर्शित करने के साथ-साथ चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए सर्वांगीण तत्परता के लिए, श्री गोयल ने सभी हितधारकों से यह सुनिश्चित करने का भी आग्रह किया कि कोई भी योग्य उत्पाद छूटना नहीं चाहिए। जीआई टैग प्राप्त करना, जो वस्तुओं और उपज को एक विशिष्ट पहचान और विपणन क्षमता प्रदान करता है।
ईपीसीएच के अध्यक्ष श्री दिलीप बैद ने माननीय मंत्री को वर्तमान प्रतिस्पर्धी परिदृश्य में उत्पादन बढ़ाने और डिलीवरी में तेजी लाने की आवश्यकता से अवगत कराया, जिसमें विश्व स्तर पर बाजार की अनिश्चितता भी देखी जा रही है। उन्होंने साझा किया कि ईपीसीएच के निर्यात को तीन गुना करने के लक्ष्य – ‘तीन गुना तीस तक’ को प्राप्त करने के लिए पैमाने और गति का समर्थन आवश्यक था।
ईपीसीएच अध्यक्ष ने आगे कहा, “विदेशी खरीदारों के साथ-साथ भारत के घरेलू आगंतुकों ने प्रदर्शन पर उत्पादों को पसंद किया
है और प्रदर्शकों के साथ सकारात्मक रूप से जुड़े हुए हैं। हस्तशिल्प निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद के 265 से अधिक प्रदर्शक और कालीन और हथकरघा क्षेत्रों के 270 से अधिक प्रतिभागी हैं, जो यशोभूमि, द्वारका में कालीन निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद और हथकरघा निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद के माध्यम से भाग ले रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश के केंद्रों से हाथ से बने कालीन और गलीचा बुनाई जैसे शिल्पों का लाइव प्रदर्शन; गुजरात से पटोला साड़ी; जोधपुर से चमड़े का शिल्प; सहारनपुर से लकड़ी की नक्काशी; प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश से मूंज शिल्प; मास्टर शिल्पकारों द्वारा राजस्थान से पांजा धुरी और ब्लॉक प्रिंटिंग ने ध्यान आकर्षित किया है।
डॉ. राकेश कुमार, प्रधान सचिव, भारत टेक्स 2024, मुख्य सलाहकार-ईपीसीएच और अध्यक्ष-आईईएमएल ने कहा, “हमें खुशी है कि माननीय मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल ने भुगतान के लिए करों का भुगतान करने के लिए 45 दिनों की सीमा पर विचार का आश्वासन दिया है। एमएसएमई द्वारा विदेशी खरीदारों को आपूर्ति की जाने वाली वस्तुओं के मामले पर वाणिज्य मंत्रालय और वित्त मंत्रालय के साथ हमारे द्वारा उठाए गए मुद्दे पर गौर किया जा रहा है। प्रदर्शनी के बारे में बोलते हुए उन्होंने कहा, “भारत की कपड़ा कहानी की अत्याधुनिक तकनीक के साथ-साथ पारंपरिक शिल्प कौशल का यह अनोखा प्रदर्शन आगे के रास्ते के लिए विचार-विमर्श और चर्चाओं द्वारा अच्छी तरह से समर्थित है। शो में विभिन्न राज्य मंडप, निफ्ट के उत्पाद प्रदर्शन, उत्कृष्ट कारीगर उत्पाद विकास आयुक्त (हस्तशिल्प) और विकास आयुक्त (हथकरघा) के समर्थन से, केवीआईसी, एसएफएसी – छोटे किसानों के कृषि-व्यवसाय कंसोर्टियम आदि भी शामिल हैं।
अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों में से विदेश व्यापार महानिदेशालय के महानिदेशक श्री संतोष कुमार सारंगी ने शो का दौरा किया, जिन्होंने हस्तशिल्प प्रदर्शकों से मुलाकात की और निर्यात के समय उनके मुद्दों और चुनौतियों पर चर्चा की। व्यापार बाधा, ई-कॉमर्स निर्यात, सीमा पार लॉजिस्टिक्स जैसे मुद्दों पर विस्तार से चर्चा की गई। श्री सारंगी ने धैर्यपूर्वक सुना और इन चुनौतियों से निपटने के उपाय सुझाये।
एससी सुंदर होम एसआरएल, रोमानिया के खरीदार लॉरेंटियू टेलीची ने मेले को घरेलू वस्त्रों, कालीनों और गलीचों की विविधता के लिए वास्तव में अच्छा बताया। डब्ल्यूएसएन, फ्रांस से सैंड्रिन मेज़ियान ने कहा, “हम पेरिस में हूज़ नेक्स्ट, बिजोर्का, प्रीमियर क्लास और कई अन्य जैसे व्यापार शो और फैशन शो आयोजित करते हैं। मैं यहां उन विभिन्न फैशन ब्रांडों के साथ काम करने के लिए नए डिजाइनरों और निर्माताओं की तलाश में हूं जिनका हम प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। मैं शिल्प कौशल से बहुत प्रभावित हूं और मुझे महान निर्माता भी मिल गए हैं। मुस्तफा अलहाराजली, हेथम रस्मी और रस्मी बकरी खलील समेत कुवैत का एक समूह महिलाओं के फैशन परिधानों के लिए प्रेरणा के साथ-साथ वस्त्रों की तलाश कर रहा था। तुर्की की कंपनी इंटेसा ग्लोबल के क्रेता मेर डुरमुस ने साझा किया, “हम बीस वर्षों से हस्तनिर्मित कालीन के व्यवसाय में हैं। प्रदर्शनी बहुत बढ़िया है और बहुत अच्छी तरह से प्रस्तुत की गई है। मैं मेले में हस्तनिर्मित कालीनों के संग्रह से बहुत प्रभावित हूं।
हस्तशिल्प निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद के कार्यकारी निदेशक श्री आर. के वर्मा ने बताया कि ईपीसीएच दुनिया भर के विभिन्न देशों में भारतीय हस्तशिल्प निर्यात को बढ़ावा देने और उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले हस्तशिल्प उत्पादों और सेवाओं के एक विश्वसनीय आपूर्तिकर्ता के रूप में विदेशों में भारत की छवि और होम,जीवनशैली,कपड़ा, फर्नीचर और फैशन आभूषण और सहायक उपकरण के उत्पादन में लगे क्राफ्ट क्लस्टर के लाखों कारीगरों और शिल्पकारों के प्रतिभाशाली हाथों के जादू की ब्रांड इमेज बनाने के लिए जिम्मेदार एक नोडल संस्थान है। इस अवसर पर ईपीसीएच के कार्यकारी निदेशक श्री आर के वर्मा ने बताया कि वित्तीय वर्ष 2022-23 के दौरान हस्तशिल्प निर्यात 30,019.24 करोड़ रुपये (3,728.47 मिलियन डॉलर) रहा।

New Delhi – 27th February 2024 – The 1st edition of Bharat-Tex 2024 being held at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, New Delhi from 26th to 29th February 2024 runs its four days course at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s 5F Vision, the event has a unified Farm to Fashion focus, covering the entire textiles value chain.
Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Govt. of India, visited the exhibition today at Yashobhoomi. He was accompanied by Mrs. Amrit Raj, Development Commissioner, Handicrafts; and Dr. M Beena, Development Commissioner, Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. During his visit, Shri Goyal released the Ministry of Textiles’ Designers Directory 2024. He interacted with exhibitors as well as Master crafts persons showcasing live demonstrations of various craft skills in a specially curated pavilion by O/o Development Handicrafts. Appreciating their expertise and products on display, he emphasised on ‘local for global’ and market potential of these products. He called the products at the exhibition, “Apeksha se zyada sundar (much better than expectation)” and a medium to show India’s capabilities in this sector in times to come. “For the first time handlooms and handicrafts that complement each other are put together strategically at such a venue, easing visitation and sourcing by the buying community,” he added.
Shri Piyush Goyal also addressed the gathering of exhibitors, officials and organisers during his visit. Appreciating their efforts, he encouraged them with guidance for the way ahead. He made a clarion call for making the sector self-sustaining with timely implementation of key competences in the right direction, ‘out-of-the-box’ ideas, focus on innovation, inventory, sustainability, branding and apt use of technology; participation in big exhibitions to show collective strength, branding and marketing like ‘India Store’ in receptive and fashion conscious markets that can give on the spot value; work towards highlighting handmade products as premium rather than competing with machine-made goods in value terms; keep all segments of the value chain connected and support each other, especially artisans; respect the path and people that will take one to India’s international market dominance; create and be part of special Marts that give more market visibility in prime markets, etc. Towards all-round readiness to display strengths as well as face challenges, Shri Goyal also urged all stakeholders to ensure that no deserving product should not be left out from getting the GI tag, which gives a distinct recognition and added marketability to goods and produce.
Mr. Dileep Baid, Chairman, EPCH, apprised the Hon’ble Minister of the need to scale up production and speed up deliveries, in the present competitive scenario that also sees market uncertainty, globally. He shared that support for scale and speed was essential to achieve EPCH’s goal of tripling exports – ‘Teen Guna Tees Tak’.
The EPCH Chairman added, “The visiting overseas buyers as well as domestic visitors from India have liked the products on display and have positively engaged with exhibitors. The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts has over 265 exhibitors and over 270 participants from the carpets and handloom sectors participating through the Carpet Export Promotion Council and Handloom Export Promotion Council at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka. Live demonstrations of crafts like hand tufted carpet and rug weaving from hubs in Uttar Pradesh; Patola sari from Gujarat; leather craft from Jodhpur; wood carving from Sahranpur; moonj craft from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh; Panja dhurrie and block printing from Rajasthan, by Master crafts persons have gained attention.”
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Secretary General, Bharat Tex 2024, Chief Mentor-EPCH and Chairman-IEML said, “We are pleased, the Hon’ble Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal has assured that the issue of 45 days limit for paying taxes towards payment of goods supplied to foreign buyers by MSMEs, taken up by us with the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance, is being looked into.” Speaking about the exhibition he added, “This one of a kind display of traditional craftsmanship alongside cutting-edge technology of India’s textile story is well supported by deliberations and discussions for the way ahead. The show also feature various state pavilions, product display from NIFT, exquisite artisan products with the support O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) & O/o Development Commissioner (Handlooms), KVIC, SFAC – Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium etc.
Among the other dignitaries at the show was visited by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade who met with handicraft exhibitors to discuss their issues and challenges faced at the time of exports. Issues such as Trade Barrier, e-commerce exports, cross borders logistics were discussed in detail. Shri Sarangi heard patiently and suggested ways to tackle these challenges.
Buyer Laurentiu Telechi from SC Sundar Home SRL, Romainia called the fair really nice for its variety in home textiles, carpets and rugs. A group from Kuwait including Mostafa Alharajli, Haytham Rasmi and Rasmi Bakri Khalil were looking for inspiration as well as textiles for women’s fashion wear. Buyer Ömer Durmuş from Intesa Global, a Turkish company shared, “we are in the business of handmade carpets since twenty years. The exhibition is great and very well put together. I am very impressed by the collection of handmade carpets at the fair.”
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is a nodal agency for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and crafts persons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture and fashion jewellery & accessories products in different craft clusters of the Country. The overall Handicrafts exports during the year 2022-23 was Rs. 30,019.24 Crores (US $ 3,728.47 Million), as informed by Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
